Good luck to Mandy as she will make a very worthy winner. These cards were trialled by two conductors in Cheshire and the positive results published in Recent Advances in Conductive Education, vol.6, no.2 2007. Copies can be obtained from the National Institute of Conductive Education.
Wa-hoooo! It is so exciting that the Challenge Me Cards were shortlisted for a Nasen Award, I only found out today!
Thank you Judit for posting this and thank you Gill for your kind words, it means a lot to me. Gill, I think the Conductors trialled the first set of Challenge Me Cards which I did (Mobility Activity Cards), however this shortlisting is for the second set, published earlier this year related to speech and communication.
Thank you again, and whatever comes of it tomorrow night, I am so pleased that the cards have managed to get to this stage (sorry to blow my own trumpet!!.. toot toot!)

Sadly, Mandy didn't win first prize (which was presented by children's author Anne Fine), but they did receive a plaque, one for Mandy and one for the publisher.
Even being shortlisted is quite a big deal.
The publisher Jessica Kingsley have made up a poster to feature at the stand at the Special Needs London conference, which was taken place last week, advertising the cards and the fact that they were shortlisted.
