The beautiful intoxication of motion
And whoever has been taught to walk
That person will always know
How incredible it may be
That everything is possible anywhere
People can overcome any monster
If they have the will, heart and the intelligence
The magic consciousness always helps.”
Zoltán Vitό Hungarian writer and one of the students of Pető András

Lovely. A real service. Thanks.
And where did you get the picture from? Did you take it yourself?
One tiny criticism. In British English at least Zoltán Vitό was never a 'student' of AP's.
Hard to know what word to use. I do not know how early he attended the State Institute. At one point he could have been a patient, perhaps after 1962 he might have have been a pupil.
Either way, a nice poem, and a nice translation.
Again, thanks,
Andrew
Andrew,
Thank you for your comment. The translation is not mine; it was sent to me by a Hungarian conductor a few years ago. I don’t know where she got it from.
The picture is from the link below:

Zoltan Vito was taught by András Pető and he remembers with great affection of one particular time when he made his steps towards Pető himself and how Pető kissed the top of his head at the end when Vito arrived with a little tumble at Pető’s knees.
Probably the word ‘pupil’ would be better to describe him in this context. Thank you for pointing it out.

Some postings on this blog overlap with the Pető Education UK facebook page and with my own Facebook page. My intention is to reach as many people as possible and to leave as much information as possible in cyber space about Pető and his work for future references.
Judit
Thanks Judit for posting this. I had to leave this poem out of the translation I made of the tv report because I was unable to do it properly. Whoever made this translation has my admiration.
Thank you for your comment Viktoria. It is a beautiful piece of Vito’s talent and the translation gave great justice to it. :)))
